An access boundary inside your account \u2014 plus a way to receive documents from outside it.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A workspace splits your account into separate areas: users and groups assigned to a workspace only see the documents assigned to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating a Workspace<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open Arbeitsbereiche<\/strong> and click Add Workspace<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Enter a Name and Description.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Set the Status.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Configure Directory Services if you need to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Select Users and Groups to give access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    An Active<\/strong> workspace is offered when assigning documents and templates. An inactive one is left out of new assignments, but keeps its existing documents and stays visible under the All<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Directory Services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Directory Services controls whether a workspace can receive documents from senders who aren’t already connected as a business partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The sender-side experience of finding and addressing a document to a publicly visible workspace isn’t confirmed yet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    This is separate from sharing a workspace with a partner you’re already connected to through a Business Card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Managing Workspaces<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Workspaces list has Active<\/strong> and All<\/strong> tabs, showing each workspace’s Name, Users, and User Groups, with view, edit, and delete controls per row. The view control opens an Overview summarizing its description, status, Directory Services settings, users, and groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Renaming a workspace updates its name everywhere it’s referenced \u2014 Dashboard filters, template assignments, and the Document Editor all pick it up automatically.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
