Validity Status lets you track that condition and the date it took effect, without opening the document itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where it lives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Validity is one of the three tabs on a document&#8217;s Post-Processing panel, opened from its Dashboard row, alongside Payments and Accounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting a Validity Condition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the document&#8217;s Post-Processing panel from its Dashboard row.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>Validity<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select a <strong>Condition<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the <strong>Date<\/strong> that condition took effect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add Comments or Document Tags if you need to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><thead><tr><th>Condition<\/th><th>Meaning<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>N\/A<\/td><td>Validity isn&#8217;t tracked for this document.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Indefinite<\/td><td>No expiry \u2014 stays valid until changed.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Valid till<\/td><td>Valid up to the date set.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Extended till<\/td><td>Validity pushed out to a new date.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>On Hold till<\/td><td>Temporarily paused until the date set.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Cancelled on<\/td><td>Cancelled as of the date set.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Expired on<\/td><td>Expired as of the date set.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Replaced on<\/td><td>Superseded by another document as of the date set.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Validity on the Dashboard<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Dashboard has a dedicated <strong>Validity<\/strong> view alongside Standard and Post-processing, so you can browse documents by their current condition.
