Know at a glance whether a time-bound document is still current.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some documents \u2014 a contract, a certificate, a quote \u2014 are only good for a limited time. Validity Status lets you track that condition and the date it took effect, without opening the document itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where it lives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Validity is one of the three tabs on a document’s Post-Processing panel, opened from its Dashboard row, alongside Payments and Accounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setting a Validity Condition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open the document’s Post-Processing panel from its Dashboard row.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select the Validity<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Select a Condition<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Set the Date<\/strong> that condition took effect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Add Comments or Document Tags if you need to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Indefinite<\/td>No expiry \u2014 stays valid until changed.<\/td><\/tr>
    Valid till<\/td>Valid up to the date set.<\/td><\/tr>
    Extended till<\/td>Validity pushed out to a new date.<\/td><\/tr>
    On Hold till<\/td>Temporarily paused until the date set.<\/td><\/tr>
    Cancelled on<\/td>Cancelled as of the date set.<\/td><\/tr>
    Expired on<\/td>Expired as of the date set.<\/td><\/tr>
    Replaced on<\/td>Superseded by another document as of the date set.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    Validity on the Dashboard<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Dashboard has a dedicated Validity<\/strong> view alongside Standard and Post-processing, so you can browse documents by their current condition. The Post-processing view also shows a Validity column next to Payment and Accounting status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
